LUCKYCINDA Publishing Announces 2013 Book Contest Winners
LuckyCinda Publishing is proud to announce its 2013 Book Contest winners. This year’s Grand Prize Winners are authors Ken Corre for Fiction and Jan Pippins for Non Fiction.
Corre and Pippins will have their work read by Michael Larsen – Elizabeth Pomada Literary Agents and will receive a one-hour book marketing consultation with Brian Jud, an expert in book sales and CEO of Book Marketing Works.
First Prize winners will be considered for traditional publishing by Small Press Weaving Dreams Publishing and feedback from Joyce M. Gilmour of Editing TLC. Honorable Mentions, along with all winners, will also receive book marketing packages that will promote author’s titles through February 2014.
The contest was held to help Indie authors who are finding it a challenge to compete in today’s publishing world where thousands of new books are produced daily. The stigma associated with self-published works was not evident with this group, said contest judges.

There were more than 150 entrants and selecting winners wasn’t easy. This year’s submissions represented “an unusually high quality of writing and presentation” according to contest organizer and book publicist, Laura Dobbins.
Book readers, reviewers, journalist and bloggers were used to determine book contest winners.
“Our judges were surprised and pleased by what they were reading, Dobbins said. “It is our hope that through marketing efforts, these authors can share their talents with a new audience.”
LuckyCinda Publishing dedicated this year’s contest in memoriam to one of its judges, Diane DeCamp who passed away this year.
